Your Mission: New Territory Development & Business Growth

As our Business Development Manager, your primary focus is to establish and grow the Spherion presence in the new territory. You will
exercise discretion and independent judgment

to build a robust client base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pioneer & Strategize:

Establish and execute a comprehensive business development plan specifically for the new territory (Olmsted, Fillmore, Wabasha, and Kenyon).
- Relationship Architect:

Build strong, lasting relationships with prospective clients through market research, office visits, presentations, and negotiations.
- Consultative Sales:

Listen deeply to diagnose the workforce gaps limiting a client's potential and offer innovative and creative employment solutions.
- Drive Results:

Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline, facilitate RFPs and Agreements, and ensure client quality control.
- Tech & Touch:

Utilize a combination of strategic technology and personal touch approaches, ensuring exceptional documentation of all activity.

What You'll Bring to the Table
Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of business-to-business (B2B) sales, outside sales, or staffing industry experience.
  • Proven success in developing new business or expanding a territory.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and influencing skills.
  • A resourceful and agile approach, with the ability to fully leverage processes and technology tools.

Preferred:

  • Sales background in the manufacturing, industrial, or skilled trades fields desired.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required—
    proven experience and success matter most
  • Ability to develop long-lasting, trust-based client relationships.
