Summary

We are seeking a Data Specialist to join our innovative team at Second Mile Education. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing and analyzing data that drives our educational programs. Your expertise will help us enhance our technology-driven learning environments and ensure that every student has the tools they need to thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain databases to support educational programs and initiatives.
  • Analyze data sets to provide insights that inform decision-making processes.
  • Develop ETL processes to ensure accurate data integration from various sources.
  • Utilize Python for data analysis and automation tasks.
  • Create visualizations using Tableau to present data findings effectively.
  • Collaborate with educators and administrators to understand data needs and improve reporting capabilities.
  • Implement best practices for data management and security within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in database design and management.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and tools is essential.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of AWS services related to data storage and processing is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
