Culinary Director

K5 Hospitality is seeking a talented Culinary Director to lead the culinary team at all three of our award-winning restaurant concepts in Atlanta, GA. As a Culinary Director, you will be responsible for creating and implementing delicious menus, managing kitchen operations, and overseeing food preparation and presentation. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced chefs and be a part of creating unique and delicious dishes for our guests. Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the culinary vision of the restaurants.
  • Developing new menu concepts, seasonal dishes, and special offerings that aligns with our standards.
  • Ensuring consistency and quality by enforcing standards for food preparation and presentation.
  • Conduct regular visits to all three restaurants to audit kitchen operations, provide feedback, and implement changes as needed.
  • Conduct staff training and supervise kitchen staff's activities.
  • Budgeting and cost management.
  • Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
  • Recruit and manage kitchen staff.
  • Rectify arising problems or complaints.
  • Perform administrative duties.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.

Skills:

  • Proven working experience as a Culinary Director.
  • Excellent record of kitchen management.
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Capable of delegating multiple tasks.
  • Communication and leadership skills.
  • Keep up with cooking trends and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS).
  • BS degree in Culinary Science or related certificate.
