As part of its overall suite of services, B2BSoft also offers a payment services portfolio – a cohesive and seamless addition to the POS, fully integrated merchant services to allow retailers to take advantage of industry-leading tools, support, and hardware. B2Bsoft processes a very significant volume of secure payment transactions, including credit cards, direct debit, and disbursements.
The Payment Business Operations team is the liaison between the sales, account management, product, and engineering teams for all issues related to payment transactions and equipment.
We are looking for a Payment Business Operations Director to join our team. This person will be responsible for the overall relationships with our third-party payment partners, advocating for the ideal customer experience and driving operational improvements. This is a great opportunity for a driven team player that thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
In addition to managing external partners, this role is required to provide hands-on analysis, resolve escalations, identifying and driving improvement projects to improve customer experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience managing merchant acquiring operations, and payments solutions, including hands-on experience in residuals/portfolio management and fee optimization. This is an opportunity for a subject matter expert from the payments industry to become an operational leader of the payment operations department. Partnering closely with a VP of Sales, this person will drive the adoption of current and new services within the B2BSoft existing and new clientele.

What you'll be doingWork with Networks and Acquiring Processors to build acquiring capabilities and add additional financial products to the portfolio
Be the subject matter expert for merchant acquiring initiatives of the Bank, processing networks, and transaction flow
Understand the business needs and strategy; build a product-specific vision and execution plan, including helping set objectives and expected results for the product team
Closely collaborate with business units such as Sales, Business Development, Legal, and Compliance, Engineering, Product, Operations & Finance
Evaluate opportunities to support new payment methods or expand existing ones for our customers by building platform capabilities or integrating with partners.
Work closely with Sales and client interfacing teams to track our customer needs and ensure they're being addressed and help communicate our roadmap and timelines back to the customer.
Leverage market research, internal data, client feedback, and customer insights to identify opportunities for future enhancements; share the same with the product team.
Create metrics to track progress towards product objectives and measure the health of the business.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to processes, training, and policies
Payments experience a MUST
5+ years of experience managing merchant acquiring operations, with hands-on experience in residuals/portfolio management and fee optimization.
Experience in solution design, testing, and gathering analytics to turn data into actionable insights and drive sales process optimization.
Equipment management (hardware and/or virtual)
In-depth understanding of the difference between ISO, ISV, and Payfac models
Experience in regulated financial services industries, FinTech, or retail banking preferred; Retail/wholesale contracts/Schedule A.
Advanced Excel Skills.
CRM (ex: Salesforce, MS 365, etc.)
Business analytics service (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Experience with Crypto/NFT technologies, Neobank/Open Bank, and BNPL
