Global IT Service Company is seeking a results-driven Digital Transformation Manager - Manufacturing IT to oversee the IT operations of multiple manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing enterprise-scale applications, supporting daily operations, and maintaining strong relationships with both business and technology stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily IT operations and application services for plant operations on MOM/Opcenter; align service priorities to production schedules and business SLAs/OLAs.
  • Handle incidents, change requests, and updates to production IT systems.
  • Monitor system performance and solve technical issues quickly.
  • Work with vendors and internal teams to implement secure and reliable solutions.
  • Report on system uptime, issues, and improvements to plant leadership.
  • Lead small Kaizen (continuous improvement) projects to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Create and follow clear IT procedures for system operations and updates.
  • Collaborate closely with teams across production, maintenance, engineering, and quality.
  • Other assigned tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of IT support or operations experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with MOM/MES applications (e.g., Siemens Opcenter) and related integrations.
  • Familiarity with incident/change/problem management processes (ITIL framework is a plus).
  • Hands-on experience with system patches, configurations, or release planning.
  • Strong communication skills – able to explain technical topics to non-technical teams.
  • Good reporting/documentation skills (Microsoft Office, ticketing tools like ServiceNow).
  • Be able to work in Liberty NC location.
  • Japanese Language skills is plus.
  • While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift 10-25 pounds if needed. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision and hearing.
