Technical Operations Specialist

Location: Remote

Compensation Range: $65,000 – $75,000 annually + Bonus

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically minded Technical Operations Specialist to support the day-to-day maintenance and integrity of our data operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on with data, documentation, and technical workflows — and who takes pride in keeping systems clean, organized, and reliable.

You'll work closely with each of our client's teams to audit datasets, update system documentation, and assist with other technical tasks that keep our platforms running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and maintain data quality across multiple platforms and environments.
  • Update and version-control technical process documentation and system architecture diagrams.
  • Perform data imports, exports, and transformations as part of regular operations cycles.
  • Assist with user account management, access requests, and configuration tracking.
  • Document repeatable operational processes and identify opportunities for automation.
  • Collaborate to troubleshoot data and system issues.
  • Participate in internal audits and compliance checks related to system operations.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in a technical operations, data management, or IT support role.
  • Extensive and diversified background with at least 2 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of geospatial or mapping tools (ArcGIS, PostGIS, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Ability to analyze processes and find risks
  • Results driven and ability to communicate
  • Ability to identify weak spots in a process to improve efficiency
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with structured data (Excel, CSV, or databases).
  • Strong attention to detail and process orientation.
  • Comfortable with documentation tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Confluence, or Visio).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
