Duties

  • Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines efficiently and safely.
  • Sort laundry items by type, color, and cleaning requirements to ensure proper handling.
  • Perform cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting designated areas to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Manage dry cleaning processes for delicate or specialized garments requiring professional treatment.
  • Fold, package, and organize clean linens and clothing for distribution or storage.
  • Maintain accurate records of laundry loads, cleaning schedules, and equipment maintenance.
  • Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.

Skills

  • Proven experience with laundry operations, including washing, drying, and folding techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation standards across various environments.
  • Familiarity with dry cleaning processes for delicate fabrics or special garments.
  • Previous hotel or hospitality experience is highly desirable to understand guest service standards.
  • Ability to operate laundry machinery safely and perform basic maintenance when needed.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in handling linens and garments.
  • Positive attitude with a proactive approach to teamwork and problem-solving.
