Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and passionate Preschool Prep Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners during their critical early childhood years. Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that support early childhood development, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
  • Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and developmental needs.
  • Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence.
  • Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement strategies to promote respectful interactions and self-regulation.
  • Support children with special education needs and early intervention strategies to ensure inclusive learning experiences.
  • Conduct assessments of children's progress through observations and standardized testing to tailor instruction effectively.
  • Foster open communication with parents and guardians regarding children's development, milestones, and any concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and lesson plans in compliance with licensing standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Support children's physical well-being by incorporating activities such as teaching physical education and promoting healthy routines.
  • Ensure adherence to childcare regulations, health protocols, and safety standards at all times.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Experience with curriculum development tailored for preschool-aged children, including literacy education and math fundamentals.
  • Proven classroom management skills that foster a positive learning environment.
  • Experience working with children with diverse needs, including special education and early intervention programs.
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies like toddler care or preschool pedagogy is a plus.
  • Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate physical activity, arts, music, and hands-on learning experiences.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, colleagues, and administrators effectively.
  • Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment tools.
  • Experience in daycare or private school settings is preferred but not required.
  • Competence in behavior management techniques that promote respectful interactions among children.
  • Understanding of child welfare policies and best practices in childcare environments.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies for children at various developmental stages within the preschool age range.
