Events/Customer Service Representative

We're a mission-driven comapny partnering with charities and nonprofit organizations to raise awareness and funding through live events, campaigns, and donor outreach. Our team works on behalf of charity clients, organizing community events, sponsorship drives, and donor engagement efforts in and around Fort Lauderdale. We believe in the power of human connection to build relationships and support causes that matter.
As our Events & Customer Service Representative, you'll be on the front line of outreach: interacting face-to-face with the public at events, engaging potential donors, managing logistical details, and providing excellent customer service that reflects the values of our charity clients.
Events & Customer Service Representative Responsibilities
- Represent our charity clients professionally and with passion at in-person events fundraisers, community fairs, sponsorship drives, awareness campaigns, etc.
- Greet attendees, answer questions, provide information about the charity's mission, facilitate donor registration or sign-ups, and address concerns on site
- Engage event attendees, share compelling messages about the cause, solicit donations or pledges, collect contact information, distribute collateral
- Record and manage donor or prospect information, ensuring accuracy and professionalism
- Liaise with event organizers, vendors, venue staff, volunteers, and internal team members to ensure smooth execution
- Monitor inventory of promotional materials; restock and reorder as needed
- Assist with event coordination tasks: scheduling, volunteer assignment, site visits, pre-event planning, and on-site support
- Provide feedback and insights on donor reception, logistical challenges, and event improvements
- Occasionally assist with post-event follow up or thank you outreach (phone, email, mail)
Events & Customer Service Representative Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, events, sales, or nonprofit fundraising is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer service orientation, friendly, patient, professional demeanor
- Ability to think on your feet and handle unexpected issues calmly
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks under deadlines
- Basic computer literacy
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods at events
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally for events
- Flexible schedule: evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays
- A passion for nonprofit work / community engagement / social causes
