Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. . The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services, ensuring a seamless experience from initial consultation to service completion. This role requires strong automotive knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, understanding their vehicle concerns and service needs
  • Explain recommended services and repairs, utilizing automotive diagnostics and service writing skills
  • Prepare accurate auto estimates for repairs such as transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, alignment, air brake systems, and auto body repairs
  • Upsell additional services when appropriate to enhance vehicle performance and safety
  • Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all customer interactions and service orders
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term relationships
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of dealership automotive repair capabilities including mechanic experience and automotive diagnostics

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in auto service management within a dealership setting
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in vehicle maintenance, automotive diagnostics, and repair procedures including transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, suspension, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, alignment, air brakes, and auto body work
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
  • Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust
  • Experience with auto estimating software and service writing is preferred
  • Knowledge of automotive sales processes is a plus
  • Prior experience in dealership or auto service environment is desirable
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required
