Position Overview:
The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) is seeking a
Senior Manager, PAC and Political Operations
to lead the association's political engagement strategy and execution. This position requires a motivated, detail-oriented, and politically savvy professional with
4–6 years of association PAC management and political fundraising experience
.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for administering the NAM's political action committee (NAM-PAC), ensuring compliance with federal election law, managing political giving strategy, and executing high-impact political engagement events. This individual will play a key role in strengthening the NAM's influence in Washington by building strong political relationships, engaging member companies, and overseeing political operations that advance the interests of the manufacturing sector.

- Manage and grow NAM-PAC
operations, including compliance, disbursement tracking, reporting, and member communications. - Develop and execute PAC fundraising campaigns
that expand participation among eligible executives from NAM member companies. - Implement and oversee political giving strategies
, including candidate evaluation, contributions, and reporting to senior leadership. - Coordinate and execute political engagement events
, such as fundraisers, sponsorships, and policy roundtables with candidates and elected officials. - Serve as an4NAM-PAC spokesperson
and communicate internally and externally on behalf of NAM's political operations and strategic value. - Engage NAM member companies
by promoting PAC participation, providing timely political updates, and offering best practices for political involvement. - Ensure full compliance
with FEC regulations, internal policies, and industry standards for PAC management and political activity. - Maintain political intelligence
, including monitoring federal elections, candidate viability, and political trends that may impact manufacturers. - Collaborate across NAM teams
to align PAC and political activity with advocacy campaigns and overall government relations strategy. - Provide strategic support
to the Managing Vice President of Government Relations and senior leadership on political operations, budget oversight, and special projects.
We are looking for Team Players who meet the Following Criteria:
- 4–6 years of experience
in association PAC management, political fundraising, government relations, and/or campaign operations. - Demonstrated knowledge of
FEC compliance requirements
and PAC administration. - Proven success in
fundraising, donor engagement, and political relationship-building. - Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
- Strong interest and understanding of the political landscape, and advocacy strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior executives and political stakeholders professionally.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute significantly to campaigns and initiatives in the political or business advocacy environment.
- Deadline and detail-oriented, with the ability to rapidly produce documents, resources, or other deliverables to support NAM members and stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in planning and executing events.
- Proven ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Salary Range:
$71,000 - $80,000 annually. This salary range represents a good faith estimate of the lowest to the highest salary for this position. The final salary offered will be based on qualifications and experience.
