We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our professional team. No experience necessary. We will train you. This role involves preparing individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with current tax laws, and providing exceptional customer service. Duties

  • Prepare accurate federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and corporations using accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage.
  • Analyze financial documents and data to ensure completeness and compliance with current tax laws.
  • Assist clients in understanding their financial situations and recommend appropriate tax strategies.
  • Maintain detailed records of client information and tax filings.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and financial regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Support marketing efforts by promoting tax services to potential clients.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks and manage financial data analysis as needed.
  • Utilize technical accounting skills to troubleshoot issues related to tax preparation software and financial concepts.

Qualifications

  • No experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or related fields.
  • Able to learn basic accounting principles, financial concepts, and tax laws.
  • Proficiency with using a computer.
  • Excellent math skills including 10 key typing proficiency for data entry accuracy.
  • Strong analysis skills to interpret financial data effectively.
  • Experience in financial sales, marketing, or customer service is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple client accounts efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain complex financial information clearly to clients.
