Director, Digital Assets Risk and Controls

Develops a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory environment, including U.S. and non-U.S. rules/regulations focused on the digital assets and banking industries. Assists fellow team members as necessary in carrying out firm-wide third party governance framework and resiliency protocols. Develops materials and participates in regulatory meetings, and plays a lead role in managing regulatory exams, including documentation requests and presentation materials. Contributes to developing the training strategy for the Digital Asset Business. 10+ years of experience; with demonstrated experience in one or more of the following functions: audit, risk, controls, compliance, operations, or legal. Proven experience navigating a new business or function at multiple levels, with an ability to immediately begin identifying potential risks and areas for improvement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary to develop effective materials and work with peers, executives, and stakeholders in functions/business areas across the firm. Experience leading and managing teams, including a focus on mentoring/coaching and goal setting. Several years of experience supporting entities or businesses in the digital assets, blockchain/DLT, banking, or related technologies space. Proven experience assessing the design and effectiveness of processes and controls. Demonstrated understanding of risk identification, assessment, and mitigation. Demonstrated experience reviewing, revising, and writing policies and procedures. Demonstrated experience leading complex projects and implementing solutions. Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams comprising product managers, engineers, operations, as well as risk and compliance.
