Job Overview

This role requires a confident presence, excellent conflict management skills, and the ability to operate surveillance equipment. The Armed Security Officer will be responsible for patrolling designated areas, monitoring security systems, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols to prevent loss or damage.

Duties

  • Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security threats.
  • Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV to observe activity and detect suspicious behavior.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid or CPR if necessary.
  • Enforce security policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Manage conflict situations with tact and professionalism, de-escalating disputes when possible.
  • Document incidents accurately through detailed reports and maintain logs of daily activities.
  • Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or security breaches as needed.
  • Conduct loss prevention activities by identifying theft or vandalism risks and implementing preventative measures.
  • Control access points by verifying credentials and ensuring only authorized personnel enter secure areas.

Experience

  • Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or private security is highly desirable.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; training can be provided for qualified candidates.
  • Familiarity with surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and alarm monitoring is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability in conflict management and crisis response.
  • Knowledge of security protocols, loss prevention techniques, and legal regulations related to security operations.
  • Strong observational skills with attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
