GD Resources LLC is seeking a talented and experienced Director of Music/Accompanist (DMA) to support the Command Religious Program (CRP) at NAS JRB Fort Worth. The DMA will provide professional musical direction and accompaniment for worship services, special events, and other chapel functions in coordination with the Command Chaplain and Religious Ministries Team (RMT).

This position offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the spiritual well-being of service members, their families, and the base community through the gift of music.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide musical leadership, direction, and administration for Catholic and/or Protestant worship services.
  • Serve as accompanist (piano, organ, or keyboard) for all worship services, rehearsals, and special events.
  • Coordinate with the Chaplain or CRMP on the selection of hymns, music, and special arrangements.
  • Direct and accompany choirs, ensembles, and soloists; schedule and lead rehearsals.
  • Provide music for special religious services such as Easter, Christmas, Holy Days of Obligation, Holy Week, and other chapel events.
  • Maintain professional standards of appearance and conduct; adhere to Navy and Department of Defense policies.
  • Report directly to the Command Chaplain or designated representative.
  • Maintain and report any required repairs for government-owned musical instruments and equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Skilled Musician: Must possess the musical training, experience, and ability to lead a variety of religious worship services.
  • Music Proficiency: Must be able to sight-read music and direct musicians and vocalists in four-part harmony.
  • Instrumental Skills: Proficiency in piano, organ, and keyboard required.
  • Background Check: Must successfully pass a criminal background check (no classified clearance required).
Additional Information:
  • Choir size: Approximately 10 persons per denomination.
  • The contractor (DMA) shall provide music sheets; CCLI licensing is not funded by the base chapel.
  • No volunteer accompanist or musician is available at the chapel.
  • All services and rehearsals are conducted at the chapel aboard NAS JRB Fort Worth.
