STONE AND STRAND is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Operations, Inventory & Production Manager to oversee all inventory movement, production workflows, purchasing, and fulfillment operations. This role is essential to ensuring that our products move seamlessly from suppliers to customers, while maintaining accurate data and high standards of quality. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a strong communicator, and excels at building structure and efficiency across teams.

Inventory & Systems Management

  • Oversee all inventory movement from receiving to fulfillment.
  • Maintain accurate stock counts, costs, and item data within Cin7.
  • Manage stock transfers, adjustments, and ongoing Cin7 system maintenance.
  • Input POs, update item costs, and ensure data accuracy across all linked documents.

Purchasing & Vendor Coordination

  • Create and manage all purchase orders across local production, personalized items, and made-to-order pieces.
  • Submit invoices through and ensure timely vendor payments.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to ensure smooth and timely procurement.

Production Management

  • Manage made-to-order (MTO) workflows from start to finish.
  • Assist with product repairs, improvements, and quality control checks.
  • Oversee district runs and manage sample and bulk purchase order QC (in partnership with leadership).

Receiving & Logistics

  • Receive incoming goods including new styles, wholesale orders, ecommerce replenishment, waitlist items, sample sale items, and MTO goods.
  • Ensure timely invoice submissions and coordination with receiving support.
  • Maintain smooth flow of inventory into the system with accurate documentation.

Returns & Repairs Management

  • Oversee daily unboxing and processing of returns in AfterShip.
  • Conduct QC on returned items and process customer refunds.
  • Log and manage repairs; ship customer repair items promptly.
  • Receive and process wholesale RTVs and repair requests; coordinate credits or returns as needed.

Office & Team Management

  • Maintain a positive, efficient working environment for all employees.
  • Manage PTO and performance goals for production and fulfillment teams.
  • Provide direct leadership for operations and production staff, ensuring smooth day-to-day workflow.

Stocktake & Reporting

  • Support stocktake planning and execution, including inventory counts and order verification.
  • Maintain and update key operational documents

Schedule & Travel Requirements

  • As a customer-facing business, we require a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings and early starts as required by business needs.
  • This role may additionally involve travel that could take place on weekends, and after typical office hours
  • Role is in person, five days a week

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting across the business when needed including helping with shipping & fulfillment, customer service, and working at the store in SOHO.
  • Note that this role may involve evening work, weekend work, and travel

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2–5 years of retail experience; fine jewelry knowledge required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of jewelry production
  • Previous experience in operations or production
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Naturally enthusiastic, people-oriented, and collaborative.
  • Accountable and able to take ownership of complex tasks.

SCHEDULE

  • 40 + hours per week, pm
  • Based at our midtown office
  • Evening and weekend availability as required due to business neds
  • Occasional travel as needed.
