Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, Supply Chain, NA Network S&OP

Key job responsibilities
- Develop (as an individual contributor) or lead the development of (as a technical lead) enhanced and automated S&OP planning resources, leveraging AI.
- Build advanced visualization solutions to allow business and tech stakeholders to self-serve and deep dive the teams' plans, driving enhanced explainability and adoption.
- Collaborate with leaders across multiple teams to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
You will lead critical performance management initiatives for inventory placement leveraging complex data management/visualization and presenting those to different levels within the company:
- Design and own the right set of metrics measuring inventory placement performance
- Recommend improvements to the placement strategy using modelling and large datasets. You'll guide planning teams and other relevant stakeholders with regards to the mix of products to place in Amazon buildings, maximizing selection and reducing distance to customers and spinning the Amazon flywheel
- Pioneer new ideas to increase speed and reduce delivery cost to customers
- Pilot and implement your recommendation in production through smart configurations in Amazon systems
- Develop the analytics required to visualize opportunities and measure progresses
- Partner with worldwide technical teams to develop new features
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of professional or military experience
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
