DepartmentCollege of Social WorkResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate project activities for the Stoops CFC Center, with a focus on the HRSA-funded Panhandle Pathways to Para-Professions grant.Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for assigned projects.Lead community engagement and recruitment activities across multiple counties in Florida's Panhandle, ensuring project deliverables are achieved.Build and sustain relationships with schools, community organizations, and youth-serving agencies through independent fieldwork.Supervise and support research assistants and OPS employees engaged in project development.Coordinate purchasing, administrative compliance, marketing, reporting, and grant-related requirements for Stoops CFC Center projects.Develop and disseminate marketing and recruitment materials to support outreach and workforce pipeline goals.Contribute to grant writing and funding proposals that sustain and expand Center initiatives.Cultivate a shared vision among staff and community partners, motivating others to translate vision into action.Collaborate with university faculty, government administrators, community stakeholders, and state/national experts.Keep abreast of innovative professional development and workforce development strategies, applying best practices to community engagement and training efforts.QualificationsBachelor's degree and four years of experience related to administrative services, or a combination of post-high-school education and experience equal to eight years in the same.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree and at least one year of experience.Demonstrate knowledge in adult learning methods.Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present research and project findings at meetings, conferences, and professional events.Knowledge of project planning, implementation, and evaluation principles.Demonstrated ability to work independently and travel regionally for community-based engagement.Knowledge of federal, state, and local government educational, social, and healthcare programs.Ability to design, develop, and disseminate marketing and recruitment materials tailored to a variety of audiences.Experience in preparing, writing, and contributing to grant proposals and related funding applications.Other InformationThe Program Manager of Community Engagement is responsible for the design, management, implementation, and reporting of projects within the Stoops CFC Center, with a focus on behavioral health workforce development, substance use disorder prevention, child and youth well-being, and mental health. This position plays a lead role in the HRSA-funded Panhandle Pathways to Para-Professions initiative, ensuring that high school seniors, GED completers, and recent graduates from rural counties are recruited and supported in pursuing behavioral health career pathways. The Program Manager develops and monitors research protocols, ensures grant compliance, and conducts outreach and engagement across the Panhandle to strengthen the behavioral health workforce pipeline.
