Summary of Position:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineering Designer supporting our Architecture and Engineering business unit, you will you are responsible for designing and drafting mechanical engineering projects under the guidance of Mechanical Engineers/Project Managers. Scope of design to include HVAC, plumbing/piping, refrigeration, fire protection, and fuel systems. As part of a multi-disciplined firm, he/she will be coordinating with Site/Civil Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Structural Engineers, Architects and Construction Project Managers. He/she will be responsible for the production of mechanical engineering construction documents while adhering to client requirements, code requirements and site adjustments.

Responsibilities:

• Design full site plans and resolve complex design issues with limited direction.
• Conduct site feasibility research and site visit investigations. Generate reports and recommendations based on findings.
• Coordinate with sub-consultants.
• Assist in maintaining task budgets.
• Coordinate and assist with addendums, RFIs, and change orders.
• Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
• Assist managers with the project approval process.

Qualifications:

• 4-8 years of experience with general building mechanical production, preferably with commercial projects such as retail or restaurants
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• E.I.T. preferred
• Revit and MS Office required; AutoCAD a plus

Team:

You will work with a team of Design Engineers, Professional Engineers and Project Managers.

Work Location:

This role is based out of our Bentonville, AR, or Farmers Branch, TX offices. While we encourage hybrid work, we're happy to consider remote candidates where occasional travel to our Bentonville, AR, or Farmers Branch, TX office is possible.
