Overview
The Director of Admissions will oversee and lead the admissions department for a dual-diagnosis behavioral health treatment organization. This individual will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations within the admissions call center, ensuring exceptional customer service, optimizing conversion rates, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in behavioral health admissions and call center management, strong insurance knowledge, and a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the admissions and call center operations to ensure efficient and compassionate handling of all inquiries and admissions.
- Develop, implement, and refine call campaigns and lead management strategies to maximize performance and conversion metrics.
- Train, supervise, and mentor admissions and call center staff, promoting a culture of accountability, empathy, and professionalism.
- Ensure all admissions processes adhere to company policies, compliance standards, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain a deep understanding of behavioral health insurance coverage, verification processes, and utilization review practices.
- Collaborate with marketing and outreach teams to align campaigns and improve lead quality and conversion rates.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate regular reports to leadership with recommendations for improvement.
- Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and resource allocation effectively.
- Support continuous quality improvement initiatives and participate in leadership meetings to advance company goals.
Qualifications:
- Required: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in an admissions management or director-level role within a behavioral health treatment call center.
- Required: Strong understanding of behavioral health insurance policies, verification, and authorization processes.
- Preferred: Experience with dual-diagnosis or co-occurring treatment programs.
- Proven ability to manage, coach, and develop teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to de-escalate sensitive situations compassionately.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, EMR platforms, and call tracking technologies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80, $115,000.00 per year
