About Us

1st Choice Plumbing, Heating & Air Solutions is a rapidly growing, family-owned HVAC and plumbing company serving the Fort Worth and Aledo communities. As we scale our brand and expand into new channels, we are looking for a talented, driven Videographer & Content Creator to join our team.

This role will work directly with owners Rance and Ashley Thornton, capturing the day-to-day operations, leadership, community involvement, and company culture to build both our professional brand and personal brands across social platforms—especially YouTube.

Position Overview

We are seeking a creative, fast-moving videographer who can follow the owners daily and 1st Choice staff, capture raw footage, film planned shoots, and turn that footage into polished content that showcases:

  • Our business operations
  • Leadership and team culture
  • Customer experiences
  • Community and networking events
  • HVAC education and behind-the-scenes training
  • Personal branding content for Ashley's wellness brand and Rance's leadership brand along with some fun hinting and fishing trips.

You must thrive in a flexible, entrepreneurial environment and be comfortable filming in homes, job sites, community events, office settings, and occasionally on the go.

Key Responsibilities Filming & Photography

  • Capture daily footage of Ashley and Rance, at events, in meetings, and during ride-alongs.
  • Film technicians, install crews, customer testimonials, and job-site activities.
  • Shoot branded marketing content, educational videos, and YouTube series-style footage.
  • Capture B-roll around the shop, office, warehouse, and community events.

Content Creation

  • Edit videos for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Produce short-form and long-form content aligned with brand goals.
  • Add captions, music, graphics, and simple motion design.
  • Create photo content for marketing, recruiting, events, and website use.

Brand Development

  • Help build Ashley's personal brand (health, wellness, lifestyle, leadership).
  • Help build Rance's brand (business, leadership, trades industry insights).
  • Develop storytelling concepts aligned with our "Accept Nothing Less" tagline.
  • Maintain a consistent and polished visual identity across platforms.

Publishing & Channel Management

  • Upload and optimize videos on YouTube (thumbnails, titles, tags, descriptions).
  • Post regularly on social platforms according to content schedules.
  • Track basic video performance and give recommendations to increase engagement.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of videography and editing experience (professional or strong portfolio).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends and storytelling.
  • Ability to film on the go, capture candid moments, and adapt quickly.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally between job sites.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort filming people in real-world environments.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage footage and meet deadlines.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience filming in trades, construction, real estate, or small business settings.
  • Background in social media management, YouTube production, or marketing.
  • Experience with drones a plus (not required).
  • Photography skills a plus.
