JOB SUMMARY:

Primary responsibility will be to receive and process loan packages utilizing VIKAR loan system. Order any/all 3rd party services required to process each file. Track all items ordered and received. Ensure all underwriting conditions are met and that any supporting documentation is uploaded to the loan system.  Provide superior customer service to borrowers, relationship managers, business developers, and branch managers to ensure a professional and timely loan transaction. 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up and analyze all incoming loan files for all items needed to process the loan ie. approval, collateral, signers, guarantors etc.
  • Orders all necessary documents to complete processing, including; credit bureau reports, insurance binders and certificates, UCC, title and property searches, commercial and residential appraisals, payoff statements, business formation documents and other information needed, as directed by the loan approval.
  • Work with the loan originator to ensure that we have all the proper documentation needed to complete the file based on the product and the approval.
  • Communicates verbally and in writing to obtain complete and accurate documentation from customers, banks, vendors and varying other businesses and people as needed to complete loan processing.
  • Ensure all processing information has been added to the VIKAR loan system.
  • Coordinate external activities with the title companies, appraisers, environmental companies and other pertinent parties.
  • Complete daily follow up on files to ensure all necessary documentation has been received.
  • Ensure that titles, appraisals, environmental reports and incoming documentation is accurate and meet the approval of the loan as well as Bank guidelines.
  • Requests loan documents from the bank's loan administration group once all closing conditions have been met.
  • Once loan closing occurs, ensures all loan documents have been executed properly and submits Case to loan operations to fund the loan.
  • Willingly performs all other duties and projects as assigned.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Regularly required to drive a motor vehicle, occasional attendance at meetings in various venues
  • The employee may be required to lift files/materials up to 20 pounds to take to various locations. 
  • The incumbent will be expected to operate a computer terminal.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Retains excellent verbal and written communications skills for effective interactions with both internal and external clients.
  • Embraces technology. Works effectively though new system introductions/enhancements to better support processing function.
  • Must be self-motivated and also work in a team environment.
  • Requires a high energy level and strong sense of urgency.
  • 3+ years of business loan processing experience is preferred.
