As an Inside Sales Representative at Steel Services, Inc., you'll be the go-to for our customers, a master of a million details, and a natural at sealing the deal. This isn't about cold-calling into the void. This is about leveraging our credibility and products to build unbreakable relationships.
What you'll do:
- Find & Feast: Hunt for new business and expand existing accounts.
- Talk the Talk: Chat with customers on the phone and via email to provide quotes that win, enter orders flawlessly, and solve problems like a pro.
- Own the Outcome: From pricing to sourcing and delivery, you'll manage the entire customer experience. You'll be their hero, their confidant, and their reason for coming back.
- Keep It Real: You'll provide honest, direct feedback to management because you know that's how we get better.

What will your day-to-day look like?
- Coordinating existing internal accounts
- Developing new accounts
- Implementing plans for growing existing accounts
- Providing quotes and follow up
- Entering orders into the order fulfillment system to initiate the sales/distribution process
- Pricing stock items, as well as cut-to-size parts
- Sourcing non-stocked items to fulfill customer requirements
- Communicating with customers throughout the order fulfillment process
- Providing feedback to management and other employees to facilitate customer satisfaction and further sales
- Confirming timely deliveries of customer orders
- Coordinating with appropriate departments in the resolution of customer complaints
- Assist other Inside Sales Reps in the development and maintenance of their accounts when necessary
What are the requirements?
- 2+ years of previous sales experience
- Strong math skills
- Strong oral and written interpersonal/communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Outlook/Excel
- Ambitious, competitive, and self-motivated mindset
