Key Responsibilities

Project / Program Planning & Management

·      Develop comprehensive project plans using
Waterfall

and
Agile

methodologies.

·      Define
scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines

aligned with business objectives.

·      Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to deliver within approved baselines.

·      Utilize departmental tools for
tracking, reporting, and governance compliance

.

Team Leadership

·      Lead and mentor project teams; coach junior PMs as needed.

·      Foster a
collaborative and accountable

team culture within the PMO.

·      Manage
change management

and
conflict resolution

to maintain project progress.

·      Ensure teams have
clear roles, responsibilities, and deliverables

throughout the lifecycle.

Stakeholder Management

·      Build trusted partnerships with project sponsors and senior stakeholders.

·      Communicate project
status, risks, and issues

clearly and proactively.

·      Align project goals with enterprise strategy through regular stakeholder engagement.

Risk & Issue Management

·      Identify and mitigate risks through
proactive planning

and contingency strategies.

·      Track progress and performance metrics across assigned projects and programs.

Budget & Resource Management

·      Develop and manage
project budgets

per governance standards.

·      Plan and allocate
resources

effectively for optimal delivery outcomes.

·      Monitor spend and ensure adherence to budget and compliance controls.

Transformation & Change Management

·      Lead transformation and
organizational change management

components within projects.

·      Drive
solution adoption

and promote process improvement initiatives.

Process Improvement

·      Support the refinement of PMO methodologies and processes.

·      Contribute to
continuous improvement

initiatives and stay current with industry best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
    and
    9+ years
    managing IT or business projects.
  • Associate's degree counts as 2 years of experience;
  • Bachelor's or higher counts as 4 years.
  • 2+ years
    in a lead role collaborating across multiple divisions and organizational levels.
  • PMP Certification
    (required).
  • CSM Certification
    (required).
  • 2+ years
    experience with
    Microsoft Project
    .
  • 1+ year
    experience with
    Azure DevOps
    .

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing
    cloud-based software implementation
    or
    transformation programs
    .
  • Background in
    public sector
    ,
    transit
    , or
    large infrastructure initiatives
    .
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to navigate complex dependencies and deliver under tight schedules.
