Job Description

Role: IT Project Manager – Data & BI Focus

Location: St. Paul, MN (Hybrid – 2 days onsite/week preferred)

Contract: 12 months with a 6-month performance review for potential hire

Travel: 1–2 times/year to St. Paul for team summits (e.g., IT meetup, upcoming Data Summit)

Pay Rate: $60-65/hr W2, dependent on skills and qualifications

About the Role

We're seeking a skilled IT Project Manager to join our Data & Business Intelligence team. This role sits on the IT side, working closely with internal business stakeholders across departments such as Sales, Finance, Operations, and National Accounts. You'll help drive internal transformation projects, mature our use of Microsoft DevOps, and support the rollout of new tools like WRIKE.

This is a 99% internal-facing role, with some exposure to external-facing BI dashboards for suppliers. You'll collaborate with BAs to translate business requirements into actionable project plans and help establish methodologies for tracking progress and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple data and BI projects, including capital initiatives (3–4 major projects/year)
• Mature the use of Microsoft DevOps for time tracking and workload management
• Integrate DevOps into WRIKE, aligning with our Microsoft ecosystem
• Support internal transformation efforts and methodology development
• Collaborate with BAs to turn business requirements into technical deliverables
• Interact with stakeholders across IT and business units
• Contribute to the shift toward Agile project management practices

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Strong understanding of:
• Power BI
• Microsoft Cloud Services
• Azure
• CBG (Consumer Business Group)
• Background in distribution or supply chain
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and planning (not required but a plus)
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders
• Ability to assess current project management maturity and recommend improvements
