Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Product Owner specializing in ServiceNow to drive the development and enhancement of enterprise service management solutions. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, manage product lifecycle, and ensure delivery aligns with organizational goals. This role requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and expertise in IT service management, software development, and agile methodologies to optimize ServiceNow platforms and integrations within complex IT environments.

Duties

  • Define and prioritize product backlog items based on business needs, technical feasibility, and strategic objectives.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to translate business processes into technical solutions within ServiceNow.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow modules and integrations, including APIs and SaaS applications.
  • Oversee the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) for ServiceNow projects, ensuring adherence to best practices such as Agile, SAFe, Waterfall, and version control standards using tools like Git, TFS, Jira, and VersionOne.
  • Develop wireframes and prototypes using Balsamiq or similar tools; create user stories and acceptance criteria for user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Coordinate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration with databases (SQL), mobile applications, and other enterprise systems.
  • Conduct analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements utilizing analytics tools like Looker or similar platforms.
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Lead product management activities including roadmap planning, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance standards and support the implementation of IT policies related to service management platforms.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with ServiceNow platform development and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (SAFe), Waterfall processes, and project management software such as Jira, TFS, or VersionOne.
  • Proficiency in cloud services including AWS; experience with SaaS solutions is preferred.
  • Technical expertise in Java, HTML, UML diagrams, APIs integration, SQL databases, Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint & Excel), Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with SDLC processes including requirements gathering, wireframing (Balsamiq), test case creation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and documentation.
  • Experience with mobile applications development or integration is a plus.
  • Strong analysis skills for identifying process efficiencies; ability to develop dashboards using analytics tools like Looker.
  • Leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to effectively manage cross-functional teams and stakeholder relationships.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure components including databases, APIs, internet of things (IoT), and IT governance standards.
