Springwoods Behavioral Health is an affiliated 80-bed acute care behavioral health facility located in Northwest Arkansas and has been providing quality health care to the residents Northwest Arkansas since 2009. The hospital provides 24-hour acute care behavioral health services.

Springwoods Behavioral Health is seeking a cook for the nutritional services department.   The cook is responsible for the preparation and serving of food to patients, staff and visitors while maintaining a clean and safe environment in the food service area.

The applicant should possess the ability to follow menus and instruct food service workers, ensure the sanitation of the department and the ability to supervise subordinate staff to achieve effective delivery of services.  The cook must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.

Perfered Education and experience: 3-5 years of plant operation experience and a  High school diploma or GED. 

Required: 1 year of plant operations experience

Experience:  One year of experience in cooking duties at a hospital, healthcare facility or institutional setting.  Must have the ability to perform simple mathematical calculations related to measurement and proportioning of foods. Must possess the ability to read, write, speak and follow written and oral directions.
