Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience and a strong foundation in employment litigation (defense), California wage and hour law, and general business litigation. This role requires excellent negotiation skills and the ability to conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw. As an Associate Attorney, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional legal services to our clients while growing with a dynamic firm, including potential partnership.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on various cases and legal issues.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts with precision.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and court proceedings across multiple practice areas.
  • Provide legal advice on matters related to employment law, wage and hour regulations, personal injury law, and general business business litigation.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for trials.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation within the law office.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to keep them informed about their cases.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact client cases.

Experience

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar association is required.
  • Prior experience of at least 3 years in a law office setting is required.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
  • Strong writing skills with experience in legal drafting.
  • Proficiency with various areas of law including employer litigation defense, California wage and hour law, and general business litigation is highly desirable.
