JOB SETTER-2nd Shift

Role Description:

Be able to assist in daily operations of Secondary department. Operator will be assigned duties and responsibilities that will be fulfilled with high expectations.

• Change over mig and resistant welders as well as assembly cells.
• Properly reset faults and disposition non-conforming material.
• Provide support for operators.
• Maintain proper housekeeping .
• Effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and management.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

Noise Level

The noise level in the working environment will be heavy with high traffic. Ear protection will be required.

• Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).

• Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).

Education/Experience/Certifications:

To effectively carry out duties and responsibilities in the job position the following education, experience, or certifications are preferred:

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

• Previous experience as Job Setter or proven success of all aspects of welding operations.

Certifications:

• 2 year certificate in an electronic/electrician or robotic weld technical program or equivalent experience preferred

Additional Skills Required:

• Experience with basic computer systems.

Communication skills:

• Speak effectively with fellow employees or customers.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Mathematical skills:

• Apply mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

• Detail oriented.
• Organized and able to meet deadlines while performing multiple duties.
• Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to pass a pre-hire physical and drug screen.
