Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Shop Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various tools and equipment. This role is essential for maintaining the functionality by servicing, maintenance, and setup of high-pressure coating and foam equipment, including Graco plural-component systems and spray rigs.

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Assist with the cleaning, teardown, and reassembly of high-pressure Graco equipment, such as Reactor polyurea and foam systems and protective coating units.
  • Support routine service work, including fluid section rebuilds, hose flushing, and troubleshooting electrical and pneumatic components.
  • Help prep spray rigs and proportioners for field deployment or customer pickup.
  • Clean and organize spray rigs, equipment, and shop tools to maintain a safe and efficient work area.
  • Load/unload heavy equipment and drums using pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified).
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including proper handling of isocyanates, coatings, and solvents.
  • Keep accurate service records and assist with job documentation.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude – comfortable using hand tools, air tools, and performing basic repairs.
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work in a physical, shop-based environment.
  • Willingness to learn about plural-component systems and high-pressure applications.
  • Reliable and self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred

Preferred (but not required):

  • Experience with Graco Reactors, or proportioning equipment.
  • Familiarity with spray foam or industrial coatings (polyurea, epoxy, polyurethane).
  • Forklift certification or experience.
  • Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical troubleshooting.
