Who We are Looking for:

We're looking for a dedicated and skilled an experienced Service Technician to join our growing team at Magna North America. In this role, you will be the face of our company, building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers in the steel industry. This is a hands-on position that requires a proactive and customer-focused individual with a strong mechanical aptitude.

Location

This position is based in the southeastern United States, with a primary focus on our work in Mobile, AL.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain trust with key personnel and customers in the steel industry.
  • On-Site Support: Provide on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for machinery.
  • Product and Parts Management: Manage and order machine parts and maintain accurate product inventory. You will also be responsible for placing orders as needed.
    Product Trials: Provide on-site support for new product trials, ensuring successful implementation and customer satisfaction.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster strong working relationships with our growing U.S. team, sharing knowledge and working together to achieve company goals.
  • Travel: Travel within your assigned region and occasionally outside of it as needed to support customer needs.
  • Safety: Adhere to all safety rules and regulations at all times.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a field service, technical, or maintenance role, preferably within the steel or heavy manufacturing industry.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with experience managing inventory and parts.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel.
  • A strong commitment to safety.

Schedule: 40 hours per week and open to overtime (non-exempt/hourly) (flexible; to be determined with candidate)
