Position Summary

We are seeking a Data Center Technician to support operations in a mixed-environment data center that includes Servers, Network devices, AI compute servers, GPU clusters, and liquid-cooled systems using Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs). This role covers hardware lifecycle management, structured cabling, CDUs, capacity planning, incident support, and vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, move, add, change, and decommission IT hardware (servers, AI/GPU systems, storage, network devices).
  • Perform hardware break-fix including replacement of CPUs, GPUs, memory, SFP/QSFP modules, drives, system boards, fans, and PCIe components.
  • Support diagnostics, troubleshooting, and escalation of server and network issues.
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs and visual inspections of racks, hardware, and facilities.
  • Monitor power usage, PDU loads, cooling capacity, and patch-panel availability.
  • Perform inspections, monitoring, and maintenance of CDUs and liquid-cooled systems.
  • Monitor coolant flow/pressure/temperature and perform filter, hose, or quick-disconnect replacements.
  • Respond to cooling-related alarms, perform safe isolation, and coordinate with facilities for repairs.
  • Install, connect, and disconnect fiber and copper cabling; handle labeling, documentation, patching, and port assignments.
  • Escort and supervise vendors inside the data center, support POP site operations as needed.

RequirementsRequired

  • Minimum 1 years of experience in data center operations (junior–senior levels considered).
  • Hands-on experience with hardware support, troubleshooting, and break/fix.
  • Knowledge of structured cabling, fiber/copper patching, labeling, and documentation.
  • Ability to work with high-density compute environments (GPU/AI servers preferred).
  • Ability to respond to issues quickly and provide clear updates/escalations.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in hot/cold aisle environments.

Preferred

  • Experience with CDUs, liquid cooling loops, or immersion-cooled systems.
  • Familiarity with DCIM/BMS platforms.
  • Experience in large-scale, mission-critical environments.
  • Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Network+, AWS DCT, CCNA or equivalent.
