About the Role:

This position involves guiding multidisciplinary engineering teams through design, integration, and qualification of new systems. You'll serve as a technical focal point for systems definition, requirement analysis, and verification/validation, working closely with electrical, software, and test groups. The role blends high-level systems thinking with hands-on problem solving and documentation ownership.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead systems planning, design, and V&V activities for next-generation avionics and electronic assemblies.
  • Translate functional requirements into system specifications and manage traceability throughout the lifecycle.
  • Coordinate technical reviews, assess risks, and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including requirements matrices, test plans, and configuration updates.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, procurement, and program teams to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Contribute to process improvements in systems documentation, validation strategy, and design efficiency.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in a systems engineering capacity within aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Strong background in requirements management, system design, verification, and risk assessment.
  • Familiar with tools such as DOORS, JIRA, or equivalent for requirements and configuration control.
  • Experience with embedded or electronic systems, and understanding of standards such as DO-160, DO-178, or MIL-STD.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
