VP Controller Shared Accounting Services

The VP Controller will be a key partner to build a best in class shared accounting service organization. This Controller will be responsible for operational accounting functions such as accounts payable, revenue and inventory accounting, accounts receivable and payroll, and will also have ownership of the implementation of groupwide and GAAP accounting policies.

Company has tons of long term growth opportunity and competitive benefits package including a targeted 50k annual bonus. Candidate will be in office 4 days remote 1 day.

Responsibilities include the following:

· Full cycle accounting for the core operational functions of the accounting organization, including accounts payable, revenue and inventory accounting, accounts receivable and payroll

· Month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes for accounting activities within assigned topical areas

· Establish relationships with the accounting leaders and key finance leaders and support the regional accounting teams to produce accurate, complete and timely financial statements

· Deliver process transformations and technology implementations such as procure-to-pay and inventory management systems that are highly automated, efficient, are in accordance with GAAP, and audit ready

· Ensure there are proper reconciliations and analyses of general ledger accounts

· Design and maintain internal controls and documentation to effectively manage financial risk

· Collaborate and build strong relationships with leaders of cross-functional corporate and regional teams to ensure efficient reporting processes

· Lead a geographically diverse team

· Actively mentor and develop team members to create an environment that encourages an openness to transformation

Must have the following:

· 12+ years of prior accounting experience, public and private accounting strongly preferred

· Bachelor's degree in accounting; master's degree a plus

· Active CPA license preferred; strong understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting required

· A change agent, leading process transformations and technology implementations such as procure-to-pay and inventory management systems

· Multi-location accounting experience required

· Experience managing and supervising a decentralized team

· Experience leading, organizing and developing a team

· Experience with Sage Intacct and accounting system implementations a plus

· Strong communication skills including ability to present to senior leadership
