Summary:
An international trading company is seeking a motivated Business Account Executive to join its Carbon & Steel Raw Materials Department, focusing on new business development and account management.
Key Responsibilities
Carbon Products Trading
- Drive growth of cathode block imports for aluminum smelters in North America.
- Expand graphite electrode imports for steel mills in North America.
- Deliver commercial services and build strong, long-term relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Support business development initiatives for carbon products in the aluminum and steel industries.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
General Responsibilities
- Address and resolve customer concerns to ensure smooth business operations.
- Assist with budget preparation and monitor progress against targets.
- Represent the company at industry conferences and events.
- Conduct market research, sales forecasting, and strategic planning to evaluate profitability and growth opportunities.
- Perform pricing analysis to maintain competitive positioning.
- Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies; provide recommendations to suppliers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, including credit applications.
- Carry out other tasks as required.
Qualifications
Required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven sales and customer service expertise, including negotiation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal colleagues.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in budget creation, implementation, and monitoring.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
Preferred
- Knowledge of aluminum smelting operations.
- Knowledge of steel EAF (Electric Arc Furnace) operations.
- Japanese language proficiency (bilingual skills).
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift 10-25 pounds if needed. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision and hearing.
