*Assistant Teacher Responsibilities:

*Support Lead Teacher and implement engaging, age appropriate lesson plans that successfully engage children and foster physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development

*Maintain a safe and healthy environment

*Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials

*Meet the diapering and feeding needs of the child

*Sanitize play toys and materials on a daily basis

*Must be able to alternate between standing and seating positions for extended periods of time

*Must be able to move/life up to 40 pounds

*Promptly respond to the child's various personal needs, temperament styles, abilities, and cultures.

*Maintain all appropriate records such as attendance, time sheets, feeding/diapering forms, and incident/accident report forms

*Communicating consistently and professionally with parents and fellow staff

*Collaborate with other colleagues

*Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the center

*Requirements:

*Proven experience as a child care / daycare teacher

*Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods

*Methodical and creative

*Patience, flexibility, and love for children

*Strong written and verbal communication and time management skills

*Must have current certificate (or willing to obtain) in first aid, infant/child CPR, blood borne pathogens, infant safe sleep, & shaken baby

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $17.00 per hour
