Position Summary:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing all functions of warehousing and logistics for our St. Clair Dispersions Plant.

Duties include coordinating with shipping companies then reviewing and distributing shipping schedules; consulting with Customer Service to determine progress of production work and job completion dates. Coordinates & prioritizes the shipping dock work, delivers all paperwork associated with shipping to the proper parties. As well as helping manage an MRO system. Performs other duties as assigned.

Primary Responsibilities: Supports Plant Manager by the following; however, other duties may be assigned.

· Lead warehouse personnel to understand risk and have safe behaviors

· Create a safe work environment by holding staff accountable for housekeeping, orderliness, and procedure adherence

· Managers warehouse personnels schedules and warehouse expenses.

· Manages warehouse personnel workflow, including the distribution and verification of order picking.

· Serves as point of contact to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.

· Manages receiving activities of the plant; ensuring proper documentation is received and verified against purchase orders.

· Synchronizes timing of raw material deliveries to support the production schedule

· Communicate any delays/potential delays of shipments to the Customer Service Department.

· Owns the daily/weekly cycle counting of key inventory items.

· Coordinates with plant accountant to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.

· Manages all inbound and outbound movements of raw materials and finished goods.

· Leads quarterly inventory processes to include organization of teams, verification of tickets, training staff, etc.

· Ensures warehouse is clean and organized.

· Responsible for hiring and evaluating warehouse personnel

· Collaborate with management, marketing, sales, and/or production scheduler.

· Schedules waste and dunnage pickups in coordination with SHE

· Manages the leased returnable container program

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma

· 5+ years of logistical, warehousing and or material coordinator experience

· 3+ years managing a team of 4+ employees

· Ability to multi-task

· Strong attention to detail

· Ability to work in a demanding cross functional department

· Ability to quickly pivot when something does not to go plan

· Positive attitude

· Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills

· Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities

· Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently without being bogged down by distractions

· Ability to work independently

· Experience with, and/or ability to learn computer skills, including an ERP system and Excel

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

· Bachelor degree in business administration, supply chain management or relevant field

· 3-5 years of manufacturing operations experience

· Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or RFID Scanning

· Experience with international and hazardous shipping

· Experience with customer service

Work Environment:

Office positions are typically in temperature-controlled environments, however, may have be visit the plant floor during the course of employment. Employees in the manufacturing department are typically on the shop floor for majority of their day and may be exposed to varied temperatures, humidity, dust, noise, vapors, and fumes. All employees are required to wear designated personal protective equipment while on the shop floor.

Various operations in the plant generate noise, dust, vapor and fumes in the normal course of production. The Company has been and is committed to eliminate these conditions to the extent possible through the application of design engineering. The Company also provides a variety of safety equipment to keep all associates safe and within OSHA standards. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
