Flex Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and adaptable Flex Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises. This role requires a flexible approach to shifts and responsibilities, with a focus on maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance, conflict management, and emergency response. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, crisis management abilities, and relevant security experience to effectively protect personnel, property, and assets.
Duties
- Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to ensure safety protocols are followed and identify potential hazards
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR if certified
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying credentials and managing visitor logs
- Manage conflict situations professionally, de-escalating disputes and coordinating with law enforcement when necessary
- Perform loss prevention activities by observing for theft or vandalism and reporting incidents accordingly
- Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of daily activities for record-keeping purposes
- Assist in emergency preparedness drills and provide support during actual emergencies
Skills
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are highly desirable
- Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems
- Excellent conflict management and communication skills to handle tense situations calmly and effectively
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security protocols
- Ability to remain alert during long shifts and maintain high levels of vigilance
- Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond swiftly in emergency situations
- Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling requirements, including various shifts as needed

Pay: From $17.76 per hour
