About the Position

The mission of the Pretrial Services Agency for the District of Columbia (PSA) is to promote pretrial justice and enhance community safety. Lumik LLC is seeking a Records Management Specialist (RMS) to support four major PSA offices (Office of Human Capital Management, Office of Information Technology, Office of Forensic Toxicology Services, and Office of Communications and Community Outreach) by overseeing the compliant handling and organization of records in accordance with federal retention standards and managing the migration to Microsoft Office 365/SharePoint Online.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze core office business processes and document tasks and record types.
  • Identify appropriate GRS schedules and determine if a PSA schedule must be submitted to NARA.
  • Support workspace configuration, metadata structuring, and naming conventions.
  • Document all records management info in the Stage II spreadsheet.
  • Coordinate with PSA Records Officer to resolve record conflicts.
  • Meet with office POCs, gather inventory, and assess shared drive records.
  • Provide user training and conduct testing on workspace functions.
  • Create Executive Leadership SPO workspaces and support lifecycle configuration.
  • Collaborate with the SharePoint Developer on workflows and SPO setup.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of project management experience, preferably involving official records.
  • Experience organizing and categorizing electronic files.
  • Knowledge of federal records regulations, including: 36 CFR, General Records Schedules (GRS), and NARA guidelines.
  • Experience defining metadata for electronic records.
  • Experience with cloud-based records management systems.
  • Strong communication skills to train staff and provide records guidance.
  • Ability to identify and resolve records management issues.
  • Preferred: Certificate in Federal Records Management Training.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • Must complete initial and annual PSA-provided records management training.

  • Subject to a preliminary background check and personnel security screening.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68, $78,273.00 per year
