We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Fun and Creative Behavior Technician / ABA Therapist to join our team In this role, you will work directly with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities, implementing engaging behavioral therapy techniques rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Duties

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans using evidence-based ABA strategies to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Use creative, engaging activities to teach social skills, communication, self-care, and daily living skills (ADLs).
  • Collect accurate data on client progress during therapy sessions to inform ongoing treatment plans.
  • Assist children with activities such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and other daily routines to support independence.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, families, and educational teams to ensure consistency in behavior management and care plans.
  • Foster a positive, energetic environment that motivates children to participate actively in therapy sessions while ensuring safety and adherence to behavioral health standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred; enthusiasm for working with kids is essential.
  • Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, especially Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), is highly desirable.
  • Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.
  • Familiarity with data collection methods related to behavior management and progress tracking.
  • Excellent teaching skills combined with patience, compassion, and a lively approach that makes learning fun.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards.
