Senior Plaintiff-side Employment Attorney - Beacon Employment Law

This is a commission position with a starting base pay and health benefits, and a retirement plan. Hiring timeline is somewhat flexible.

Beacon is a plaintiff-side employment law firm on a mission to hold employers accountable and create structural change for employees. We're building a mission-driven litigation practice that combines excellent advocacy with sustainable systems to avoid burnout and most productively fulfill our personal and collective purpose.

Our current team includes a senior litigator, associate attorney, paralegal, legal assistant, and part-time intake specialist. We are looking for another seasoned attorney interested in:

  • Client-Centered Case Leadership - Co-developing creative and effective litigation strategies to best serve our clients' particular needs, producing high quality work, and pushing cases forward efficiently from filing through settlement or trial.
  • Creative Systems Building - Co-creating and co-implementing our processes, templates, and workflows that let us do excellent work efficiently. If you've ever thought "there has to be a better way to do this," you'll get to be part of building that better way here.
  • Effective Teamwork and Communication - Focusing on a growth mindset, being open to developing strong interpersonal communication skills to create a team greater than the sum of its parts, and feeling energized about co-mentoring associates and staff.

Requirements:

  • 7-10+ years of employment litigation experience (plaintiff-side strongly preferred)
  • Knowledge of employment law (wage/hour, discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination)
  • Comfortable with depositions, motion practice, discovery, and trial prep
  • Bonus points: Background in implementing systems or workflows, creative legal theories that push boundaries, or cases that created broader impact beyond individual client recovery
