We are looking for an experienced senior trial attorney. In addition to admission to the Oregon bar, admission to the Washington bar and experience in southern Washington practice preferred as this position can include some practice in southern Washington.

Position Compensation Range:
$111, $190,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.
Primary Accountabilities
- Handle litigation involving either the corporation and/or its insured within established corporate guidelines and the applicable code of professional responsibility.
- Analyze files as litigation progresses. Evaluates cases and seeks settlement as necessary.
- Conduct discovery (e.g. written interrogatories, requests for production of documents, and depositions).
- Conduct motion practice.
- Draft all necessary pleadings, papers and briefs to advance litigation. Conducts necessary research in support of drafting activities.
- Advocate client position in all state court and alternative dispute resolution.
- Stay current on state statutes and court decisions and analyzes how statutes and court decisions affect the interpretation and enforceability of the various policy provisions.
- May have or develop areas of specialty practice (e.g. special property, workers` compensation, commercial coverage).
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
- Demonstrated experience preparing civil pleadings, motions and discovery and deposing witnesses.
- Demonstrated litigation experience.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of rules of Professional Responsibility for the jurisdiction in which they practice.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of tort, contract, and insurance law.
- Admitted to the State Bar in Oregon.
- Juris Doctor.
Travel Requirements
- Up to 30%.
