Production Specialist Opportunity

The Production Specialist is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day production activities in our shop. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality standards, maintaining a steady workflow, and supporting the fabrication and assembly of cabinets and wood products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cabinet Assembly: Assemble custom doors, drawers, and other wood components according to detailed blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Quality Control: Inspect materials and finished products for defects, ensuring that all items meet company standards for quality and craftsmanship.
  • Machinery Operation: Safely operate woodworking machinery such as saws, sanders, edge banders, and CNC routers.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, and prepare materials for production, ensuring proper inventory levels are maintained.
  • Shop Maintenance: Keep the shop area organized, ensuring that tools and machinery are properly maintained.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the design and production teams to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in woodworking, cabinetry, or a related production role. Experience in a cabinet shop is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of woodworking tools and machinery. Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous with an eye for quality craftsmanship and precision.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Able to troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly and effectively.
  • Team Player: Positive attitude and ability to work well in a collaborative team setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with CNC machines and programming.
  • Experience with custom cabinetry and millwork.
  • Knowledge of various wood species and their applications in cabinetry.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Pay: $18 - $23/hour (depending on experience)

Uniform & PPE:

  • Company provides branded shirts and eye protection
  • You'll need to supply your own footwear and hearing protection
