Industrial Hygiene Specialist
to join our Industrial Hygiene team in
St. Louis, Missouri.
As the ideal candidate, you are excited to join our team to work in our field operations, making informed decisions regarding industrial hygiene. In this role you will learn about the business, build your own professional network, and work closely with senior professionals in the industry. The Industrial Hygiene Specialist position is ideal for someone looking to build their skills for career advancement and professional growth. The ideal candidate will be familiar with relevant regulations and have at least 0-3 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry.
A Day in the life of Industrial Hygiene Specialist
- Conduct various field tasks including soil, water, asbestos-containing material (ACM) inspections and sampling, lead and hazardous materials inspections, and indoor air quality and fungal assessments.
- Building inspections and material sampling, data collection and evaluation.
- Abatement oversight and air monitoring.
- Coordinate and complete site inspections.
- Produce organized and detailed site visit notes that will be incorporated into high-quality technical reports.
- Task management and coordination, client interaction, and data management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Follow, enforce, and maintain corporate policies and procedures.
- Management retains the right to change any portion of this job description at any time.
- Other duties relative to the role as assigned.
What You Bring To The Pinchin Team
- High School Diploma required.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental field is recommended but not required.
- 0-3 years of experience with Industrial Hygiene.
- Missouri Licensed Asbestos Inspector preferred.
- 40-hr HAZWOPER preferred.
- Ability to effectively plan and execute projects, prioritize work, and communicating scope changes in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organization skills are critical to success in this position.
- Must be detail-oriented and a team player.
- Ability to write reports from field notes, lab results, and other documentation.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive to job sites throughout geographic region.
- Ability to work in various settings and climates.
- Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, and the ability to pass a company physical.
- Ability to adhere to a Medical Surveillance Program to be able to wear respiratory protection.
