Job Title: Pricing Director & Estimating – Commercial Print & Packaging

Location: Orlando, FL (100% in-office)

Position Overview:

We're hiring a Pricing Director & Estimating Lead who is tech-forward, inquisitive, and obsessed with accuracy. A large portion of this role involves hands-on estimating for both commercial print and packaging jobs, so deep industry knowledge is required, and direct estimating experience is highly preferred.

You'll collaborate closely with our MIS Administrator to fine-tune logic within our ePS Tharstern ERP system, unlock automation, and bring smarter visibility into cost structures. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of tactical execution and strategic problem-solving—someone who wants to make an impact on day one.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the estimating process for commercial print and packaging projects—including folding cartons, flexible packaging, pouches, labels, and direct mail.
• Create detailed, margin-aware cost estimates that align with production capabilities and client expectations.
• Optimize estimating logic within our ERP/MIS platform (experience with Tharstern strongly preferred).
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and production teams to ensure alignment on specs, timelines, and pricing.
• Analyze historical job data to improve quoting accuracy and identify trends, outliers, or margin leakage.
• Offer guidance on materials, run methods, and production alternatives that improve cost or turnaround time.
• Keep current on industry developments, raw material pricing, and new equipment capabilities.
• Drive ERP/MIS enhancements, automation initiatives, and reporting upgrades.
• Participate in (or lead) system upgrades, data cleanups, and logic re-architecture projects.
• Mentor and support junior estimators or team members as needed.

Qualifications:

• Required: Strong industry experience in commercial print and/or packaging workflows.
• Preferred: Direct estimating experience with a deep understanding of cost modeling and quoting practices.
• Advanced knowledge of ERP/MIS systems—especially Tharstern, PrintFlow, or similar platforms.
• At least two years of experience.
• Strong data analysis and spreadsheet modeling skills.
• A mindset geared toward improvement—always looking to question, refine, and optimize systems and processes.
• Interest or experience in AI tools related to quoting, modeling, or workflow automation.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
