Associate, Corporate Governance and Legal Operations

CFSB is a federal savings bank at the forefront of fintech and payments. We are looking for someone with a desire to experience the unique corporate governance and regulatory/law enforcement matters of a novel bank. This position will focus on taking minutes of Board and committee meetings and responding to incoming subpoenas, legal demands, and regulatory and litigation investigations. Additional legal team tasks will be available based on interest and need. You will work closely with two other legal associates who are foreign attorneys, and the team is directly overseen by a US attorney and indirectly by the Bank's General Counsel.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and participate in Board/Committee meetings and produce meeting minutes.
  • Manage intake of subpoenas and other legal requests and oversee applicable deadlines.
  • Work with business lines and IT to obtain and organize responsive materials to subpoenas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Legal team attorneys.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to process meeting information quickly and transcribe relevant information in an organized and succinct manner.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as being a team player.
  • Microsoft Word and Outlook skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education, Training, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in an equivalent role is preferred
  • In addition to work experience, an education focused on law, criminal justice or governance will be of interest.

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 K / year
"Base salary range does not include performance-based bonus and/or other benefits, where applicable. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience."
