Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our school-based team. This role involves providing specialized speech therapy services to students with diverse communication needs, supporting their academic and social development. The ideal candidate will have experience working in school settings and a strong understanding of pediatric speech and language disorders.   • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students across various grade levels.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Provide direct therapy sessions to students, utilizing evidence-based techniques tailored to each child's needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress and facilitate effective communication strategies.
  • Monitor and document student progress regularly, adjusting therapy approaches as necessary.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Educate staff and families about speech development milestones and strategies for supporting communication at home and in the classroom.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies and state regulations.

Skills

  • Proven experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting, with a focus on early intervention.
  • Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques, pediatric physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to communication disorders.
  • Ability to perform thorough patient assessments, interpret results, and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward children with diverse needs.
  • Familiarity with pediatric development stages, especially in relation to speech and language acquisition.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge of anatomy related to speech production and physiology relevant to pediatric populations. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting children's communication skills within an educational environment. Candidates with school experience, pediatrics background, or expertise in early intervention are highly encouraged to apply.
