Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support analytics, game telemetry, and live operations.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, analysts, and data scientists to deliver reliable backend data services.
  • Develop reusable data marts and tools that can serve multiple products and game titles.
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across systems and environments.
  • Implement monitoring, automation, and documentation to improve performance and maintainability.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in data or software engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and PySpark, with experience in SQL and modern data frameworks such as Airflow or DBT.
  • Deep understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and scalable data architecture.
  • Experience working with cloud environments (AWS or GCP) and tools like Databricks.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver end-to-end data systems in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline (or equivalent experience).

Bonus Skills:

  • Knowledge of multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Scala).
  • Familiarity with orchestration and workflow automation platforms.
  • Experience with large-scale data processing tools (e.g., Spark, BigQuery).
  • Previous experience in analytics-driven or gaming environments.

Hourly rate is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by WorkGenius.
