To deliver on our promise to customers, Oestergaard relies on exceptionally talented and committed employees. Currently, we are seeking skilled candidates for our Warehouse in Riverside, MO. The role of the Warehouse Associate is to safely and efficiently support in the daily warehouse operations. This is a full-time hourly position reporting to the Warehouse Manager.

In this role, the Warehouse Associate will perform a variety of duties that include shipping and receiving, building work tickets and maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Support the Warehouse Manager in the daily operations of the warehouse
  • Prepare, pull and ship inventory according to the established processes
  • Receive, process and store inventory according to established processes
  • Prepare and pull inventory for work tickets
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular inventory checks
  • Understand and effectively follow all safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring equipment is properly maintained and stored at the end of shift
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Must have basic computer skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff
  • Ability to meet deadlines, with attention to detail and a commitment to safety
  • Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job
  • Ability to operate various lift and material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.)

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Knowledge of warehouse procedures and policies (preferred)
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control processes (preferred)

Working Environment:

  • May be exposed to varying temperatures, moving equipment, noise and exhaust fumes
  • Due to the manufacturing environment, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required, including but not limited to safety glasses, goggles, aprons, steel-toe boots, gloves, respirators, etc.
  • Specific environmental and physical requirements may vary by task
  • Frequent activity: standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, carrying, swinging, reaching above shoulder, pushing, pulling, balancing
  • Occasional activity: sitting, viewing computer screens
