Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Special Education Tutor located in Elk River, MN. The Special Education Tutor will provide individualized instruction and academic support to students with special needs. Responsibilities include designing and delivering private tutoring sessions, collaborating with educators and parents to develop tailored strategies, and monitoring student progress. The tutor will work 1:1 with students to foster understanding in core subjects, including mathematics, language arts, science, and build essential learning and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Private Classes and Tutoring
  • Strong background in Education methodologies and Mathematics
  • Effective Communication skills to engage with students, caregivers, and team members
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to diverse learning needs
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (preferred but not required)
  • Experience working with students with ASD or special needs is a plus
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting diverse learners
